My First Play Date

My friend, Amy, from work (who is also an SLP) and I were due at the same time. We consulted with each other all through our pregnancies. As many of you know, I was induced becuase of a "big" baby, and Henry was born March 13th about 17 days early. Amy's son, Jerard, arrived on his due date, March 27th, exactly 2 weeks later. Today we got together for the first time since their births. It was great! We took the boys for a long stroller ride, and Amy and I chatted away...as new moms need to do! Here's a photo of the little friends. Hopefully, there will be many more play dates to come!

Say Cheese!

Henry's Baptism

Henry was baptized this past Sunday at our church, Holy Childhood of Jesus, in Mascoutah. My sister, Brooke, and her husband, Bob, are his godparents. It was a great day. We went to mass beforehand, and I was so happy to have my family all gathered in one pew at church to celebrate. Chad's family joined us afterward, and it is wonderful to see all the love there is for our little boy! Father Hartlein was so cheerful and made everyone feel welcome. He even joined us for lunch at my house afterward. We feel very blessed!

Hoppy Friday!

This one is for my friend Paula. She is my partner in crime at work (aka the Assistive Technology Assistant). Paula really loves frogs. Since Henry was sporting a froggy romper today, I decided to take a themed photo. He was really not in the mood for a photo shoot at the time, but at least I got one shot! And, yes, I am trying to invent new ways to entertain myself as this was my 6th week away from work. I'm so thankful for the time with the little man, but I do get a little stir cazy now and then.

I think I can, I think I can

Henry seems to be quite a strong little guy. Here's a photo of him holding his head up. He can actually do better than that. See, I was just trying to capture a a cute diaper shot, but Chad thought I was trying to document a milestone. Either way, it made it to the blog. In addition to increasing head control and neck strength, he is starting to smile with intent, track objects (a little shaky) and bring his hands together at midline. His Nonni (my Mom) may have more to add to that list.

A Boy's Best Friend

Chad tends to have a lot of company when he sits on the couch these days. Cooper has been great with the baby, but he likes his share of the attention too. Not to mention his old spot back now and then. We think Henry and Cooper are going to be great friends in the coming years, and they'll definitely keep us on our toes.

My Dino Jammies...Roar!

On The Day That You Were Born...

Now I'm a little out of order. I found these photos as I was printing pictures for his album, and I couldn't resist. Look at that sweet face!

Welcome!

A Blog for Baby

Well, here I go! Rather than e-mail photos periodically of our new bouncing baby boy and possibly overload your inboxes, I decided it would be a good time to start a blog. Now I can post photos of Henry here, and you can check in whenever you like. Enjoy!
