How's the View?

If he can't be outside, Henry will settle for looking out the window. Here he is watching Chad set up the grill.

Later that evening, he's resumed his post.

Henry's 1st Birthday

Here is Henry on his actual birthday. He just finished opening some presents from his Nanny Coryn and our friend Ms. Gloria.
The next day the agenda for the party was simple: lunch, presents, cake! Here we are working on a present.

As you can see, he had a lot of helpers...

Here's the birthday boy waiting patiently for his cake.

And it begins...

A little ice cream makes everyone smile!

He finished most of it!

Here are some of my decorations. I made this great balloon caterpillar, but I forgot to take a picture before the party started. Then I sent all his cousins home with a balloon. So, I tried to re-create the scene that night with leftover balloons from the mailbox, but it just didn't turn out the same. Oh well. Chad baked the cupcakes, and I did the frosting and layout. What a great team! I also made a little caterpillar centerpiece for the smaller kitchen table.

Here is the invitation to Henry's 1st birthday party. As you can see, we have a caterpillar theme going. My sister designed and made the cards, each one is unique (thanks, Brooke!). We're having a "small" family party at our house on Saturday. I wish we could have invited more people, but our immediate family will include 10 adults and 7 kids under the age of 7. Our little ranch will be bustin' at the seams! Stay tuned for the beloved first birthday photos...

Cubby

Cubby is a little nickname I have for Henry. I'm not exactly sure where it came from or when it started, but it seems to fit for now. Love you, Cubby!

Dinner Party

We had another dinner party with our friends Jessica and Chuck and Amy, Carlos, and Jerard. We are rotating houses and seem to have started a nice little tradition. It was hard to keep up with Henry and Jerard this time. They have lots of new skills and are really on the move. These little boys definitely provided the entertainment for the evening!
